It simulates the real world behaviour of a helicopter very accurately. However you will need to spend a bit of time to learn how to setup your model, just like in the real world (rates, components, flybarless unit etc). However you will be rewarded with an excellent flying experience. Using a proper RC transmitter is highly recommended as it will simulate the feeling of flying in real life and it will teach you the right controls.Don't worry if it is a bit difficult to fly - its as difficult in real life so better crash in the sim rather than your RC model!. I purchased this simulator for the online sessions where we can help new members in the hobby learn how to fly. For this reason, I can not suggest anyone get this simulator. The online session is absolutely horrible! The sound is broken up, the models spawn on top of each other, and it only runs at about 2FPS if that. Most of the time it's just a still image of a helicopter sitting in the air stationary. Today (the same day I purchased this sim) I tried a session with a fellow member of my website and it constantly froze at creating model. After about 30 minutes and multiple reloads I was finally able to get into the online session with him and again, it was atrocious. I tried the planes and wow, I didn't think it could get this bad. The trainer flies nothing like a real trainer. The P-51 flies nothing like the P-51 and that 3D plane... It would not take off. It just sunk into the map. All planes should be removed from this sim, they are that bad! Quads, I thought the planes were bad... The quads are absolutely horrible! If you want a descent quad sim, get LiftOff. It is WAY better than this one for FPV.And the cars, all 2 of them are worse than the planes and quads put together and again, should be deleted from this simulator. Not everything about this sim is bad though. Single player mode for helicopters only, it is a fantastic simulator! Definitely something that a new member of the hobby can use to learn how to fly these helicopters. And the training sessions are fantastic to teach you how to not only hover in all orientations, but also in a Figure 8 and you have to follow it. Very good IMO for single player ONLY! My reason for getting this simulator was to help people in online sessions, and I can no way do that with how bad it is. And yes, my computer can run this sim even before it was optomized for some HD4000 graphics cards. My computer is way over powered for this sim, but wow, you wouldn't know that by looking at it...If you want it for single player mode to teach yourself, it is great. If you want to do anything online, look at other sims.... still alot needs to be done, but if you are into heli and multirotor simulation this might be your thing, but the potential is definatly there.. TLDR: You don't need to wait for a CD/DVD to arrive, the administrators/devs are respectful and professional, good value and regular updates. You can use any RX/TX converter that shows up in Windows (I have a chinese no-brand one that worked perfectly).This is only in regards to the airplanes and beginners practice; for helicopters, drones, and advanced maneuvers, please check other reviews.What could be improved?- It's missing a (simple/light) 3D scenario with multiple runways and a visible wind indicator to practice "touch and go".- Scenarios, I'm having a hard time determining the size of objects and the distance to the aircraft(s).- There are no delta-wings in the simulator.What else is there to say?I did a lot of reading before buying this sim, the general opinion is that this is among the top 3 remote-control (RC) simulators. What really sets this apart is that you can buy it and use it straight away, and it's about 1/2 the price of the competitors (of the same quality), no usb-dongle required.They also actively try to support all (meaningful) input devices.. it used to not work until i updated the game now it works!. This the best feeling RC Heli simulator out there. The models actually feel rather close to their real world counter part, especially after a little tuning is done. Controller setup was rather easy for me (using DX7 G2 and the accurc dongle).The depth to which you can customize heli's is simply outstanding, blades are more than a pretty skin, they actually have different flight characteristics, which also match what the real ones do rather closely imo.The dev team is incredibly active in fixing bugs, making tweaks, and adding content.I highly recommend this to anyone that flies heli's and wants a great sim to help them progress their flying.As far as the planes go, the planes they do have fly fantastic just wish they had a few more to choose from. I have not flown the quads enough to give feedback on them.. Great Simulator, this game is very close to the real life feeling of flying RC helis. I'm glad I found it.
